Celebrating Matariki in Scratch

 Today  we were learning how to code our matariki scratch projects. We started by choosing a sprite to be us I chose the unicorn. Next we had to choose a space themed background. Today I learnt how to make a sprite appear and disappear and change backdrops . When I get the chance to continue  my project I will  take  the stars to find the whole cluster then stop and hear why we celebrate matariki and some legends . 

Our past, present and future

 This week we were learning about  copyright images and text so we don't use images not labeled for reuse. My DLO shows I can use the explore tool to find images  to add to a slide. My learning went  really quickly  because the reusable images were easy to find.  Do you know how to find reusable images?

I found it challenging to write in rules because It's not my strong point

Next time I would change the limits of words because then I can get real creative

Always Room for Improvement

 today I was learning how to create a quality blog post.I learnt how to publish in paraghas ,extend my sentences and ideas .talk about what i was learning .

We were told to choose a post  with barely any writing so I chose a post with no text so I decided to make a start on 1 paragh witch to me looks pretty good as I'm not a great writer.

Hello my name is Emma.
I am a Year 4 at St Mary's in Gisborne.  I have Dutch ancestry .
I live with my Mum, Dad and little sister .


In room 3  I am interested in creating animations on google slides.
I enjoy making our sports stadium in art.
I find it challenging to publish  my writing.
This year I want to  be able to write 4 paragraphs in half  an hour.

This year I would like to achieve third place in cross country.
I would also like to achieve my full gymnastics routine properly.  This year I would like to help encourage my friends to achieve their goals.5
